Has anyone heard any news re the listing of MacMillan Minerals? My head is starting to spin? If my company was run like this heads would be rolling!!!!!! We know the split was happening for months, why the delay. The way this was put together, it looks like, the institutions were pressured to sell at bargain prices (they can't hold unlisted stock). Was this the plan all along? ?

why the delay? who knows. but since george registered a new company i suppose it takes a while for the tsx listing and the whole process to take place. maybe he couldn't take care of some of that stuff until mmg ceased who knows. we'll probably get the new shares within a month but i'm guessing. i am curious if they can or would still release mexico drilling results while we don't have our shares although that may be pointless.

Just wondering....any update on the status of listing Macmillan Minerals on the TSX? It's been awhile now with no news at all.

I find it really interesting that people are so worried about MacMillan Minerals and it being on the TSX. If we look at the facts, such as ground holdings, recent drill results (see early 2007) and the fact that the value to MacMillan Minerals was TRULY their share in Duran, it becomes clear. If and when MMM is listed, you can bet on it being worth ony 5-10 cents. I'd love to see MMM listed and turn my shares of nothing into something, but I'd rather see some major results from Pasacancha and Santa Rosa. Between the two, thats the one i'd bet on.

I agree ven. I don't think I will be on the buying or selling side on mmm for a while. I just want to see what comes out of macmillan first.

For sure Pasa! It would be good to add some type of value to the stock.

I agree also, pasa and ven. For me, the appeal of those shares is that I will be able to put them in my TFSA and completely forget about them for a few years. The nice part will be any gain will be tax-free and since they have minimal value right now, it won't use up any TFSA contribution room. A win-win situation (one of the few that anybody can point out to right now ). Trainboy

so then it would be best for us all to hope that mmm wont be listed until we all get our tfsa accounts in january. good point trainman!

That's right Caveman. I actually already applied for my TFSA, so it should be all ready to go by Jan.2. At that time, I'll also put in DRV shares. Since the shares are so little valued now, that means I can put in many more shares in the TFSA, therefore maximizing my tax-free return in the future. The only caveat with putting in the DRV shares is that should they not go up in value (an "impossibility, right? ), I won't be able to claim a tax-loss. Decisions, decisions, decisions...... Trainboy

Right Trainboy,
All indications are that we have hit bottom with DRV and will continue testing this bottom for the forseeable future. I predict 14 cents will be the bottom, unless it goes lower.

Look..... copper is on the rise! Don't worry trainboy, you did the right thing, DRV will be $5 by April FWIW I just put all my DRV and MMG into a TFSA today as well. Hope it pays-off. Happy New Year. jdc.

Just a reminder, has anyone heard of when MacMillan Minerals might be listed? I've put all my shares in a TFSA with a value of zero, so it didn't take up any of the $5000 maximum contribution space, but it would be nice to know what the value would be. Just wondering.

My broker, TD Waterhouse told me they cannot put my MacMillan shares in my TFSA. They are not allowed to put something that has no value and cannot assign a value out of the blue to a stock that is not listed.

Well, it seems that different brokers have a different process for dealing with unlisted stocks. It will be interesting to find out what happens in my TFSA when a valuation is given for MMM.

I am so happy that Trainboy got management to say that MMI will be activated to trade on the market by the end of Q1 2009. Guys, THIS is the stock to watch!
