So lets have some fun here. Right after the merger in September (after 1 week), where does everyone think the stock price will be?

For the price to change we need some new money and not the recycling we have seen as of late. I hope I am wrong!!!! When we see good news come out the stock price moves down. ***Now back at you!!!*** With the merger do you see a change? The merger is only for the benefit of the purchaser. I am only playing to devils advocate!!!!! Look at the share price today!!!! Didn't we have good new this week?

Hey Michtechguy,
You might be very right. It is quite possible that one week after the merger, the stock price will remain at the same price as its current price. My personal belief is that the stock will be around $2-$3. I suppose my optimism comes from a variety of areas, but mostly because the 'big money' or the 'new money' probably would want to minimize their risk. Two companies owning the same property create a bigger risk than one company owning the property. It seems very trivial when you sit an think about it. How hard is it really for a major to negotiate with two companies? In my opinion, the major would improve their odds of a first offer being accepted if they only have to negotiate with one company. Perhaps the big/new money know this and are waiting until MMG and DRV get thier house in order. JMHO We did have good news this week!!! Of course. However, if you calculate the current value of the stock purely based on the last 6 results (as being 100% valid), you get an area of only 400m (E/W)x 600m depth x 50 m (N/S). Using the calculator on this site (and holding everything else constant), the company value should be around $1.00- $1.15 right now. So, in my opinion, we are where we should be with this result (speculation aside)...

The price is lagging I agree. The merger will be a very important step to carry this forward. I can see it creating a little more interest just based on the fact that peru will become much more attractive as an aquisition to the big players. Other items that should propel the stock price are: -announcement of a drill on pasacancha (2nd drill for permit b) -announcement of approval of permit c (sometime in the fall?) -announcement of new management (drv agm) -further publicity by our management
I strongly believe our patience will pay off!

I'm also in pretty heavy but it seems good news doesn't have much effect on the S/P. However if those who are selling ask a lot more for their stocks and not settle for smaller amounts then maybe the price will get up to 2.50 after the merge.

It will pay off. Gr8, have a study of the Duranventures.net website. There is information gathered from everywhere on the net. The only conclusion I could make after looking at the information presented was that this is going to be a winner. In time, the good news will catch up on the price.

I agree that new money has to come in in order to increase the SP. That's basic supply and demand economics. What happened a little while ago when MMG/DRV stock was "recommended" by an analyst? The SP shot up! I think that he SP has been slowly drifting down since then due to day traders long gone and short termers unloading their positions.
Now, in order to generate buzz about the stock and bring in new money, ADVERTISING needs to be done. How will other investors know that we have a winner here if the word doesn't go out? I believe it's the same with the merger. Unless the merger is somehow advertised to the general investing public, it will only be good news to us, and that's not going to raise the SP.
Of course, all this IMHO!

Trainboy,
Hopefully the word of mouth that this investor's site generates will add to the excitement and interest in DRV. The merger, however, is critical. It would appear that DRV is being held very tight as attempting to purchase just 1000 shares at a decent price is a tough endeavour. The new blood coming from MMG should help to increase the float available for major investment. There are alot of shares being traded for MMG in comparison to DRV which suggests that the float might be higher. I am not selling my MMG, and probably others are not selling their MMG, so I guess sales are coming from the float.
