ok so we all know we can make alot of money here but there are always some obvious dyslexic idiots who dont understand what we have. if we can't live with them we may as well beat them up a little. the average trader probably uses one of the major brokers who charges a minimum of $25 and up to $90 per trade (from what i have experienced). these commissions are charged per trade and also per day. most sellers will not select "all or none" meaning they are willing to sell a partial amount of their shares to different buyers so if someone is trying to sell a lot of 10,000 shares and by the close only 100 of his shares have sold that loser will have to pay anywhere from $25-90 in commission only to have sold $50 worth of stock. at the very least they will have to call their broker to beg for their commission back. usually they will get one "free" chance or a "warning" repeat this day after day what about your own commission? well if you use one of the rare brokers that charge next to nothing per trade you are ahead of the game. some will only run you $1-$10 per trade. but even if you have to pay a higher commission isn't it still worth it? after all you are a believer and that $100 now could be worth 10x that within the next 18-24 months. i think only trades of 500 shares or more will go on the record though. so if you are wanting to close the stock higher than you must buy 500 shares.

Of the online brokerages I use the commissions range from $30 and up minimum per trade. But I also have an account with interactivebrokers.ca. I have noticed they are fairly popular with some traders as I'm sure many of you use them. A small trade of 500 shares would probably cost about $2 in commission.
